Developmental Edits
This is the first step that I take to editing.
These edits address the big picture of your content and identify issues with the storyline and consistency.

After this step, you will receive detailed notes and recommendations of what will enrich the meat of your book.

With this edit and all of the edits I do, you have the option to review my recommendations and either accept or reject the changes I offer.
Copy/Line Edits
Proofreading
This is the second round of edits that I offer.

These edits are very detailed and will focus on the structure of your sentences, the validity of your content, overused phrases, and correct use of language.
I preserve the voice of the author, and ensure that the tone of the work is appeasing to the expected audience.
This is the final step in my editing and is conducted only when the manuscript has undergone copy/line editing.

This step is where I break out my fine-toothed comb and ensure that grammar and spelling are correct.
